Sizzling Singapore - Part 4

We were supposed to play Tennis at the NUS campus on Sunday morning. I was a total amateur and learnt how to play Tennis only in my MBA campus. I wanted to whet my skills further whenever I had the opportunity. What better way to do it other than in the sprawling and acclaimed NUS campus. As luck would have it, the previous night's misadventure of sore legs and cramps made it impossible to even wake up in the morning. Still, gritting through my teeth even though my eyes were begging for some more rest, I was hard pressed for time to start and end my collateral that was to be sent to my product owner.

I was racing against time as I had to share it with him by that afternoon. Indian Time. Banging my head against the wall and working like a maniac, it took me more than a couple and half hours to see it in top shape. Without any delay, everything was mailed. Heaving a sigh of big relief, the rest of the day went pleasantly barring a trip to the theater again as we had forgotten our camera and cap due to my painful condition.

Having cooked ourselves a meal in the house, we immediately left to the theater to retrieve our things after proper identification. Next stop was the Casino at Marina Bay Sands and to look around the place. Time wasn't spent much there as I wasn't a gambler and adieu was said to it to window shop the mall. I was particularly awe-struck by the Ferrari showroom and my heart was racing like F1 car on seeing the red Prancing Horse up close. Catching up with another friend and his family, it was time to bid goodbye to this sparkling city and go straight to home - I meant my home in Chennai - to hear my boss's review on my work.

Much to his stunning disbelief and utter astonishment, I was back in my own sweet cubicle at exactly my usual time 9 am despite battling the dreaded jet-lag. Besides a few minor corrections, it was in shipshape condition to be presented to the client. Thanking the God for his Divine powers to enable me to accomplish everything like a Superman saving the world, this was one of the best weekends I have had in my entire life.

Looking forward to such a weekend again especially with  the Scoot Airways announcing great cuts in ticket prices. If the time permits in the future that doesn't disturb and negatively affect my work and team in the organization, I would really take another such weekend to be in the thick of the Australian Open Finals and tootle up for it in real-time and then come back to resume my work again in the office on Monday morning without fail.

My principle's pretty simple:
When you work hard, rightfully earn and smartly save, you have every right to spend your industriously earned money wisely taking into consideration to not to hurt and harm others.
